About Keen Wash
Keen Wash is an independent buying-guide site about washing machines for the home.
We write for people replacing an old washer, setting up a first laundry spot or fitting one into a small space. Our goal is to help you pick a washer that holds your loads, fits your room and is easy to live with.
What we cover
Our guides cover full-size top load and front load washers, 24-inch compact washers, portable washers and all-in-one washer dryer combos. We look at models from Kenmore, LG, Samsung, BLACK+DECKER, Midea, GE, Equator and others.
We also explain the questions that come up around a new washer. That includes capacity, room around the machine, pedestals, hoses, odors and why a washer shakes.
How we work
We read the specs, the manuals and each maker's own details for every washer we cover. We also look at what owners often report after months of use.
Then we turn that into plain guides, side-by-side comparisons and clear picks. Our How we research page lays out the steps.
What we are not
We don't make or sell washing machines, and no brand pays us to rank its products. Keen Wash isn't affiliated with Kenmore, LG, Samsung or any other maker.
We don't claim to have run every washer in a laundry room of our own. When we pick a model, we say why, based on its specs, its features and owner feedback.
We don't give plumbing or wiring steps. A washer is heavy and uses water and household power, so follow the maker's manual and call a qualified installer when you're unsure.
